FAQ

Answers to the questions we get

Where do I start?

Take the free Busywork Scorecard if you want a quick read on where time is leaking. When you are ready to scope a fix, book a discovery call for the audit. We do not pitch on the scorecard.

What does the discovery audit cost?

A fixed fee we quote on a short call after you take the scorecard or reach out. If you proceed with a build, that fee is credited toward the project. You keep the written report either way.

Why one active build at a time?

ThinkIQ is boutique by design. One scoped build at a time means you get direct attention — not a ticket in someone else's queue. That is also why we do not publish a high-volume retainer price.

Do I have to sign a retainer?

No. Many clients stop after the build and run the workflows themselves. Retainer is optional — for monitoring, fixes, and new workflows when your process keeps changing.

What kinds of companies do you work with?

Ops-heavy businesses where manual work is scaling faster than headcount, usually 10 to 50 people. Field services, agencies, commerce, professional services. The common thread: disconnected systems and someone retyping data between them.

What does an engagement look like?

Most start with a focused audit or automation project with a defined scope. Many clients stop after the build. Some keep us on retainer to maintain and extend the layer as the business changes.

How is this different from hiring a developer?

A developer wires two APIs and moves on. We build for operations: what happens when it fails at 6 PM, who owns it, how exceptions get handled, and what changes when you swap a tool in six months.

How long does a typical project take?

A focused project usually lands in two to six weeks depending on scope. We deploy incrementally, so you see working pieces early.

Do you replace our existing tools?

No. We connect them. The point is to make what you already have work together without a person in the middle.

Where are you based?

Ottawa. Most discovery work starts remote; onsite time depends on the audit.

Do you set up Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Cursor?

Yes. A lot of teams bought seats and never got past chat. We set up projects, skills, and the connections into Slack, email, CRM, and files, then automate the handoffs those tools still leave to people.

What tools do you automate with?

Whatever you already pay for. Common stack: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, n8n, Zapier, Make, Slack, HubSpot, QuickBooks, Shopify. We do not ask you to rip and replace the system of record.
